Re: RX7 or RX8

Get a 2nd gen.('86-'92) RX7. Cooler than a RX8.

Re: RX7 or RX8

no, get the rx8 because its not an old ass car that you'd spend tons of money fixing because you don't know about it.

plus rx8's are really nice, they're just not that quick.

Thumbs up Re: RX7 or RX8

i would have to say a 1987 rx7 should do you good, they are reliable cars and fun to work on... the only obstacle i have , being i am a 87 rx7 owner, is that the parts are harder to find cinsidering the source.. you are buying a car hat has an engine like no other, rotary engines can be the hardest things to find parts for, although on the betterside, you look at all the pros, and wow do they ever add up... so my opinion would be a 87 rx7, and when you get it... ENJOY.
(besides the fact that there is no top out... )

Re: RX7 or RX8

If you want a sports car buy an rx7 if you want a fun sedan buy an rx8. I have a 04 rx8 and it is great, no problems or compliants other than my old 94 prelude was just as fast. But I fixed the power problem with my car.

Cool Re: RX7 or RX8

I don't think you can find too many quality RX7 today, but I have a tricked out 1993 RX7. Check here:

Good luck.

the rx-8 isnt a sedan, just a confused coupe, my jetta is a sedan and there is a big difference.

Also the rx-8 is plenty quick, it's not fast in a striaght line, but its fast on a course like autocrossing. so it depends what you want, and plus he said he is modding it, when it comes down to it, any car can be made fast, just takes money.

Re: RX7 or RX8

RX7. You can't do much tuning on RX8 right now (only HP gain is doing either turbo or supercharger, and still not much as of now). But insurance for RX8 is a lot lower than RX7.
