Re: Air Intake

We just put an airintake on our 03' Lance ES and we are having an idle problem. If we connect the sensor by the filter the car idles low & if we disconnect it the car runs fine. Only problem is that the Check Engine light comes on. Did you have this problem? If so please let me know what you did to fix it. Thanks!

Re: Air Intake

So far, I have no complaints on my Lancer. It’s running very well. The parts are tough. I make it a point to check every single part so as to avoid any problem in the road. Hopefully, I haven’t had any trouble with it during rush. I had replaced its Mitsubishi Lancer Cold Air Induction last week and I’m fortunately enough that it’s only the part that I needed to purchase for it this month.

Re: Air Intake

i had the same idle problem, but it it pretty much fixed itself. The mass flow sensor compensated itsself for the increase in air flow so it re-adjusted itself. But if that didnt happen, then either loosen or tighten the bolt that adjusts the throttle. And that should do it.

And also i dont have my intake bolted in yet either, mine wont reach to the place a i have to bolt it in to so its pretty much just resting on some wires. Its not a big problem, it should be bolted on, but its not gonna fall out of your car if its securly tighted to the throttle body. Now if its just hanging there like you said, then that might be a problem....

Is it a cold air intake or short ram?

ill give you the link for the cold air....
