Alphasonik???

How do Alphasonik amps compare to others like Hifonics, or Alpine? Are their ratings in max or continuous power? Are they overrated? Sound quality? How long have they been in business?

Re: Alphasonik???

Subs about the same as hifonics, to the alpine the type-r is better than most of the stuff they make. If it says rms then its continuos. I have a friend who had a set of 15 in his contour they sounded like ass. I havent liked them and probably never will i think they would rate along the lines of audiobahn as an overall company.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.

the Root Mean Square power IS the "continuous" power.

Re: Alphasonik???

I had a set of their 10's. Not too bad considering they were very cheap. I wouldnt buy them again but for moderate listening theyre ok.

Alphasonic and SQ sub wow. They sound like audiobombs in alot of cases. Then again no stereo component is better than its install and setup. Cramming a good sub in a prefab box can be bad, while putting a shit sub in a good box wont be the best but it will be better than getting a box from walmart.
