360 Challenge Stradale Conversion

I'm bringing the old WIP thread back by numerous requests. Since the conversion was started in 2005 (almost 2 years ago!) I'm not going to re-write the process comments, I will jsut post the pictures, if you have any questions - feel free to ask and I will try to answer the best I can.

As soon as there will be more progress, I'll update the thread. Here is what I have done so far:

Thanks for looking!
Alex

Absolutely stunning! What brand of wheels are you using? I notice you have two sets of resin wheels, one of which is obviously smaller than the other. I know there are a few different brands (Renaissance, etc) available, but which ones are the larger and I assume more accurate?

Cheers,
Grant.

Re: 360 Challenge Stradale Conversion

You're back Alex!

1) I've attached the same transkit as you, and modified the lower rear bumper. BUT, how are you going to fit the chassis? I think the transkit front bumper interferes with the chassis edge. So does the rear modifications.

2) What paint did use for the brake disks (__?__ over black)?

3) Are you going to build a 550/575 or 612 soon?

The bigger ones are SAS, the smaller ones are Speedline. Both great seats of wheels, but Speedline are way too small for CS.

1) I re-worked the front bumper and rear lower chassis to fit. No problems.
2) Black, followed by MM Titanium metalizer.
3) Not anytime soon. :-)

Thanks for resurecting this thread.
What brakes are you using?
Are you using a photoetch set?
What did you glue the clear strips on the side window with?
What brand of carbon fiber are you using?
I really like the a/c vent treatment.
Thanks for sharing Alex.

Mike.

Krystal Klear, then future all over the entire window.
