Astro battery lasts 2 days

Recently replaced ignition switch. The digital clock in the radio stays on all the time. I can't remember if it was on before. If we drive it every day, it is OK, but if we let it set 2 or 3 days the battery is dead. I replaced the battery and checked the adjustment on the switch. Would it be a bad switch? I can't figure this out!

Thanx

The digital clock readout should not be illuminated with the key in the OFF position. Check your adjustment on the ignition switch first.
