2001 GT Eclipse Turbo or SuperC help

Does anyone know where I can buy a complete turbo or super charger kit on the web? Also, which one will give me more whp. I have a auto with trip. Will the trany be able to handle the new power? i don't want to to a ton of mods to the engine, so I hear a sc is the better option. I just want to get a few more ideas from everyone.

by the way, how the heck do you take the governor off so I can get past 120 with this thing.

thanks guys

Re: 2001 GT Eclipse Turbo or SuperC help

I'd like you to take the time to look around the forum. use the search button and read the stickied items at the top of the forum. They are full of answers to some of the most commonly asked questions and nobody in this forum will treat you with any respect unless you can come up with an original question that has not already been answered by the stickies posted above.

Also. For the record, i know a guy that lives in town and he drives a supercharged 3g at 386whp. He also has the factory unmolested sportronic transmission.

And also, I've never heard of a governor nor the one time i did do it, experience any problems getting above 120mph. Maybe it is because you have a sporty and they are slow. There is no reason for you to be going that fast anyway unless your 1/4 traps speed happens to be that high and by that time you'd be running low 13's at a minimum.

You have a long way to go.

Re: 2001 GT Eclipse Turbo or SuperC help

I am not really a normal person. I have a need to go faster 120. You are talking to a guy who will drive on the high way with out his lights on, passing people in the dark because, well it's a rush. 120 is now tame, I need more.

Please help me, thank you.

Re: 2001 GT Eclipse Turbo or SuperC help

first off, I hope you die (and dont kill anyone else when you do) because you are a fucking moron and are the reason anyone with a modded car gets shit from the cops. Also, if you "have a need for speed" (gayest tag line ever), why are you driving a 3G eclipse? This car is pretty...not pretty fast.

Because I am a nice guy I will say two words...ripp modds. If you have No clue what I am talking about i pitty you.

P.S. My 2000 Fed Spec GT will do 148 bone stock (side note: I was in Nevada on a clear sunny day with NO other cars on the road, so the only life I was putting in danger was...well, no ones because 148 aint that fast when you are the only car on the road in broad daylight with tires rated to over 180)

rodbls

Thank you for the feedback. I'm not sure how long it took you to get to 140 in your GT, because mine would take forever once I'm at 120. It doesn't make sense. Next, thank you for the warm wishes for dying early. We all mod cars for different reasons. Yours truly lol ghost driver.

Talking about the trans u idiot. Where in my post do you see ANYTHING about the motor..

and as for only hitting 120. I think its just your trans. My RS hits around 120 then takes forever to go any higher. If you do SC look into getting an ECU flash, It's by far the best tuning method for you car and only cost about 200-300$. That with a greddy E-Manage will be enough to cover the ECU part of the upgrades.

HONEST MISTAKE. Sorry. but.

now as for and why the hell would you want to go over 120 anyways?! mmm k. trans can hold up for up to 400hp. with a good tune. and just using the emanage blue tahts just a piggy back and you wont get as a good of a tune using a OpenECU Flash using Tactrix Openport Mitsubishi Cable.

WTF DID I JUST SAY!!!!

Gotta agree with you on the going over 120. I did that on a track, but doing that on a freeway is kinda nuts.
