How do I make a vtec light?

Just like the subject says... I have a 97 EX, and I need to know where to splice. Is it in the ECU? Where is that?

I don't remeber exactly how. Theres 2 vtec cylinder looking things in front of your engine near by the engine code and I think you like hook a wire into there somehow. But don't do this if u don't know what your doing or you will mess up your vtec system.... which is very very bad...

I thought it was in the ECU. A solenoid or something.

That site was good, but the instructions were for a 99 EX. I have a 97. Will it make a difference? I don't want to mess up my ECU. Where do people usually mount their light?

***Disclaimer*** I am not an expert...

lol
I dont think there should be much difference between a 97 and a 99 because they are the same generation car.

As far as where to put the light its up to you. If you check that first thread it has a few links in it. One of them shows a VTEC light in the cluster. I think that makes it look extremley OEM, which is kinda cool. As if it came from the factory like that.
Mounting the light is up to you...
