max tire size?
got a 88 k-1500 with 245x75 r16 bf goodrich at. would like to jump up to 265 will they fit? guy at sears said 245 is the biggest for this truck but to me they look like donuts any help appreciated.

If you still have your owners manual, look in there; it should list all the tire sizes that will fit depending on towing/payload. At least mine does for my 92 K2500. I think my door tag says 245, but right now I have 265's for the winter and a set of 285's for the summer.

My 95 has 285's/16 on it. No problem.

sorry to take so long to reply computer problem. the sticker on the door says 225/75/16 every shop and website state 245 as a larger replacement i have seen newer models with 265 and 285 but for some reason the newer trucks seem to sit up higher and have more clearance to accept a larger tire just never seen an 88 stock truck with 265 anybody out their know for sure? and thanks guys for replying.
