I wouldnt, the stock ons can handle it just fine, unless you want to boost it. You could do it, but what gain would you get from it? really?

Not necessarily. If your ecu is not programmed to map that extra fuel, you'll just bog your engine and lose power.

Re: New Injectors for ZC??

well, what would be required to make, lets say - 300-400CC injectors work to their full potential, and if they do, how much hp will it add? I'm keeping my baby all motor, no boost. the only reason i would boost is for the sweet sound of the blow off valve, gotta love it haha.

I'm sorry but that is the most asinine reason I've ever heard of for boosting a car. But to try and answer your question... you would need like 11-12:1 compression ratio all motor to run those cc injectors. A stock 1.6 comes with 240cc injectors for a 9.1:1-10.5:1 cr engine. I'm not sure if b-series flow a little higher though. And if you didn't want to build up the motor then you'd still have to run some re-mapping software to handle the extra fuel.

Re: New Injectors for ZC??

so, clearly - higher CC injectors are not a quick mod to gain hp?

Re: New Injectors for ZC??

Not particularly. I doubt you'd even need higher flowing injectors to run higher compression. I didn't and I was running 11:1 cr. Then again, my distributor failed and even with 93 octane I detonated with stock PM6 and advanced cam timing. Obviously, this is not the correct way to tune the car. But it ran like hell for a whole year before blowing up. If I still had the car and that engine though I'd have it properly tuned for sure.
