'97 Pontiac Grand Prix SE - OIL PUMP

'97 Grand Prix SE engine shut down while traveling down interstate at approximately 75 mph. It is on rack at my mechanic's shop. How do we remove the oil pan to gain access to the oil pump. The engine will turn over and run but VERY BADLY.
