2004 Venture Crossbars Removal Install
Hi,
Can someone tell me what I need to do to remove the crossbars of the roof rack from my 1999 Venture? (I want to install it on my 2004. They look the same.). I'm guessing somehow I need to slide it towards the ends, but I don't want to break anything if I snap it the wrong way. Thanks,

Re: 2004 Venture Crossbars Removal Install
Hi,
From looking at my manual, the "correct" way to either install or replace the cross rails is to remove BOTH luggage carrier side rails to remove the whole thing as one unit (guess you will need some help). Then turn the whole thing upside-down and you will see some screws that hold the cross rails to the end pieces. From that point on, it should be pretty straight forward to swap them around from one van to the other. OR - you might want to check the salvage yards (local and online) and see about getting extra cross rails for the new van. Just a thought. Take Care,
