cel code 4 help

My car is saying there is a code 4 CKP - crank position sensor. I was told this part is intergrated into the distributer so I bought a new one installed it and took it for a test drive. the light pops up agian and its the smae thing WTF. any help I just want to get rid of the light so they will let me pass smog and sell it. or ill take 2100 for the car right now its a 92 hatch with visual reff on motor just need the light gone thanks.

Yes, the crank sensor is inside the distributor. If you replace with a new distributor and the problem still exists then you have wiring problem.

Check pin 8 (blu/grn, crank sensor input) and 16 (blu/yel, sensor ground) at your ECM connector (C405 16 pin gray color).
