Ultra 2000 Seat floor trim removal?
I have a motor not gearing my up/down seat on my Ultra 2000.
Anyone been there? How does the plastic dress cover come off the floor trim rack to get to the mount bolts and nuts. I pulled a bit on it but dont want to break the plastic. Thanks.. Bass

Re: Ultra 2000 Seat floor trim removal?
I've been there. The front motor of my driver's seat stuck in the lowest position, making me feel like I'd slide right off the seat onto the floor. At the same time, my passenger seat switch assembly broke off of the frame
. Fortunately, my extended warranty paid for both repairs at the dealer.I'll admit that I won't be much help, here, but here's a suggestion... You might try to slide the trim to the front or side (perhaps lifting slightly at the same time). My son accidentally knocked off a piece of seat trim on the rear of the passenger side and there were little tabs/slots which the pieces connected together. That piece actually looked like you would first lift a little to clear a screw head, then pull. Unfortunately, my son broke the part that goes around the screw head, but luckily, it fit back together with the tabs. It's also worth talking to a few mechanics or if your dealer's service rep is in a giving mood, talk to him/her. I have had occasions where a mechanic or service rep has been willing to assist with such questions to help me do it myself. Worth a shot... Good luck.

Re: Ultra 2000 Seat floor trim removal?
I think all these 97-05 Park seats are the same. For the front plastic trim piece, lift up, then pull out. Very simple once you know the "secret." Seat unbolts in the back (move seat all the way forward, slide bolt cover off, remove bolt on each side), then lifts up (front has "hooks").
Also, need new motor...good luck finding one (search similar past problems of others including myself). GM only sells entire seat rack. Try salvage/used (a gamble of course). I found a "new" one for $200 shipped (frame bent but motors good (only used front up/down...saving the others. Have never seen a motor on e-bay. People keep extras for spares. About the time places/people decide they don't need spares, no one else wants them either (Murphy's Law?). Maybe a dealer/shop has just a motor. Certainly a standard repair issue for the Park's (these and the upper intakes of the PA Base...does GM purposely try to keep repair people eating too?). You can work to manually adjust the seat.
