93 Taurus 3.0 Wagon need help with part!
I found the part that is making my buzzing noise. I found a black box behind the spare tire in the driver side rear wheel well. All th rear lights seem to connect to it. It turns out I have a pretty substantial hole in the wheel well and this thing got wet and shorted out. Anyway, the problem is I can't figure out what this thing is.
It's a motorcraft part # E3AB-13C718-AA. I tried to look it up on motorcraft's site but it doesn't come up. Does anybody know what it is and where I can get one? Thanks Bill |

Sounds like that could be the Illuminated Entry Module. Your dealer should be able to cross the part number for you.
Does it have a flat, 8 terminal connector of which only 5 wires are used? The wire locations are Pin 1 - Black, Pin 2 - White/Light Blue, Pin 6 - Black/Light Blue, Pin 7 - Pink/Orange, and Pin 8 - Light Green/Yellow. If this matches, then it is the Illuminated Entry Module. -Rod |

Yes that's it exactly, a couple of wires have rusted through and broke and the others aren't far from it.
Would that possibly have had anything to do wtih the heater blower running with the key off? It seems since I've been messing with the module that the blower no longer stays on. |
