I have a 97 grand am 2.4.The engine light is always on as well as the ets off light is allways on,prob unrelated. My mac/otc scanner reads no stored codes new or old.As far as I know a trouble code is the only reason the light should come on.I tryed to clear with my scanner as well as disconnected the batt and the light is still on.Any ideas?

Re: why is my engine light on?There are no stored codes!
Well I'd say you have something wrong that your scanner isnt picking up on.
Alot of scanners dont read ABS or Body/Trans codes. I say ABS codes because of your two lights that are on, that would indicate this being a problem. So they Are related! Probly a wheel speed sensor.
