Transmission just acted up,did not change properly

I have 2005 impala with 3.4, 30 000km''s, car worked fine all along until this morning when I came out of the mall, got in my car and started to drive and it seemed like my tranny just did not work right at all, after having 8 of these impalas in the last 3 years I never ever felt the tranny shift like that, it seemed like she was very sluggesh and instead of her shifting into 2nd gear from starting off she would shift into 2nd gear at around 40 or a little above 40 km's where as before it was around 25 or 30km's before and when she was shifting it just seemed like it took her along time to go into 2nd gear and when she did it felt like she hesitated before she changed into 2nd like she did not want to change, after shutting her off for a half hour or so I tried her again and she was back to normal, hey shade tree, 30 plus years in the field, do you have any answers for this on why, tranny fluid is right on the mark, it almost seemed like a little dirt may have blocked off one of the tranny valves or also it might have been a little dirt from gasing her up that may have clogged an injector maybe, anyone else have a suggestion, don't know if it will happen again until I try her again, can some one give me an answer, thanks

mine does that from time to time. If I turn the ignition off and back on it usually fixes it. If not, its always fixed itself by the next time I drive the car.

It was about -3 or 4 degrees here in newfoundland canada but most of the winter months it's anywhere from -10 to -25 and we just had 3 weeks of the coldest temps and the car never did this before, when i took her out at midnight last night to try her again it was -15 and drove har for an hour an it never acted up, i don't understand why she acted up that 1 time, any solution as to why, talked to my 4 buddies, never had this or heard of this problem, thanks

I dissconnected the neg terminal for 30 seconds to reset my computer, so far the tranny has not acted up again like it did, actually the tranny seems to be be shifting better then before and a lot smoother when she is shifting
