packed snow vs. front grill
On my way to work yesterday i passed a semi and a huge piece of snow/ice crashed into my hood and windshield. I got out and took a quick look and everything seemed ok. Today i noticed half of my grill is gone and there is a dent in my hood. Now i have to decide if it is worth turning it into insurance or just getting a new grill and get a bug guard or something to cover the dent in the front of the hood. I checked today and the grill alone is $218...Anyone have a good used one laying around for an 01 passport??

Re: packed snow vs. front grill
I've ordered a ton of parts from here with great results. http://www2.partstrain.com/products/...4WDV6-002.html
It's under $200, but requires painting to match your current color. I'm not sure what I would do; the DIY repairs are probably right around your deductible, which I'm guessing is $200/$250??? |

Re: packed snow vs. front grill
I have a good friend that works in a body shop that can do the painting,.He also said he can fix the dent. I may just turn it in to my insurance if i can not find a used grill cheap. I have full coverage, i just dont know if that will start jacking up my rates and "disqualify" me for my good drive rate.
