trans trouble help please

95 intrepid Trans is locked up.The Trans goes into gear but will not move. I cant even push it in neutral while running.it will roll when it is not running it seems to be stuck in park when running. Is there a sensor or a switch that would lock up Trans. I checked cable it is working fine and fluid is full. It didn't give any warning it was running fine stopped at store came out and had to tow it home thanks in advance for any help

Re: trans trouble help please

I think your car has a shifter - brake interlock device, where it will not shift out of park unless your foot is on the brake.
Perhaps this device is faulty.

BTW a bit of correct punctuation would make your post much easier to read.
