I have a 1999 Pontiac Grand Prix with the 1st design front bumper cover. I need to replace my bumper cover and one of my fenders. I was wondering if I could put the 2nd design bumber cover on instead of what the car originally came with. HERE is a link to the products that I am refering to. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

From the investigating that I have done - the 1st edition and 2nd edition bumpers can be swapped out with no problem. I am thinking of doing the same thing with my 97 GP. It has the first edition bumper, too. The best place to get brand new bumpers and spoilers is on ebay. They are a lot cheaper plus they are delivered right to your door.

Were these bumpers offered by pontiac because I thought all Grand prix gt's and gtp's had the same bumper until they changed the body style?

I see it now. The second bumper is for the SE models. Do you just like the look better or do you just want a to be differant? If you get it and put it on post some before and after pics....
