error code 16

Ok I need a little help. I keep getting an error code 16 on my 90 dx hatch. I have reset the ecu and get no check engine light. I checked at the local parts store today and they want 110 bucks for rebuilt injectors. Assuming that is the real problem here.
I really don't want to put any additional money in the engine. I finally found a shop I trust to swap a zc in for me. Lastly what is the going rate(s) out there for an engine swap including headers, intake and exhaust. Just wanna make sure I am not getting burned on the deal.

nsit4square, injector problems

first make sure the connectors are good on the injectors, and the ground is good on the thermostat housing.
if you have 2 injectors first check to see if they are ticking, with a stethoscope tf you have one, if they are, pull the plug on each injector and measure the resistance between the 2 terminals on the injector, if it is not in .6-1.6 ohms that injector is bad, if it is than connect your voltmeter positive to the main injector's yel/blk wire and the negative to a good ground. turn the ignition switch on. is there battery voltage for two seconds? if not you have a bad spot in the yel/blk wire. if there is check the resistance of the auxilliary injector by the two terminals, if the resistance is not 6-10 ohms, replace the injector, if it does, take the voltmeter like before, between the yel/blk wire and a good ground and check for battery voltage for two seconds, if not, you have ashort in the yel/blk wire, if it does than take your voltmeter and connect the positive to the yel wire of the auxuluary injector and negative to body ground. is there approx 10V? if not than check for a short in the yel auxiliary wire. if yes than measure the voltage between the main injectors red wire. is it approx. 10v? if yes it may be your computer, if no than check for a short in the red wire between main injector and ecu.

good luck!
