Thumbs down Re: Faulty drivers window

Is there any ideas on this one? i think that one of the motor parts is gone, as I have this issue too, although my driver's window opens an inch only.
But I was talking to a mechanic friend who said that this is likely to cost €500 or so, and I don't want to spend that much on something that could be a small part replacement.

Anyone know what part is needed? It's supposedly a known bug.

Re: Faulty drivers window

Had the same problem yesterday turns out the cable that operates the window snapped, easy to fix i have been told by buying a brake cable (off a push bike) from halfords make sure its the correct length, mine needed a new mechanism which has cost me £80

Re: Faulty drivers window

common fault on these laguna,s is the window mechanism.if the dealer fixes it,cost is about £400.otherwise remove the cover and look incase it may be something else.

Re: Faulty drivers window

I had the same problem on my Laguna but bought a repair kit from e-crofting.com for £20 which comes with the replacement cable and a full set of instructions.
