i don't know....

Yes this hangs down an extra 1/2" to 3/4" inch from the transmission pan, but you would really have to go out of your way to hit it and damage it.
is this referring to that brass thing? that sounds risky on even an all-road vehicle much less 4x4'ing. one little hit and it's outa there. no?

wonder if it could be installed where the support member is, and still work? that would give it some protection, anyway.

but, ....i've been thinking of putting some kind of drain plug in there. is there any other way to put a plug in that wouldn't stick out/down so far?

Re: new way to refill the tranny?

How safe is this product? I am thinking to put one on my Rodeo but have a second thought about it. What if some thing from the road knock that brass thing out while driving, then you are out of luck. I am not only thinking about put one on the tranny but want to put other one my oil pan, too. Is any one had any horror story about this product at all or all good thing about it. Thanks.

Re: new way to refill the tranny?

I was just reading about the same type of valve for the oil pan. Fuomoto valve or something. I'll stick with the current setup. Doesn't seem worth the money or the risk.

Re: new way to refill the tranny?

I bought one years ago for the Integra, but decided against installing it. I heard some horror stories since the Tegs are pretty low. It might work for the tranny but I'll stick with the old way for now.
