1/9 Bobber WIP pic`s

Hello,

I just started this Bobber with as base the Italeri 1/9 world war II bike

At this moment I respoke one wheel with copper wire and made two pulley`s for the beltdrive.

Here are some pic`s of it.

You picked the right bike for a bobber. Those WW II knuckleheads were the original choppers. I'll be watching this one closely. You are off to a great start with those spoke wheels and pullies. Did you actually wire those spokes yourself?

Re: 1/9 Bobber WIP pic`s

Just finnished the last wheel with the new spokes in it and made a Apehanger for the Bobber.

And as usual I put everything together with tape and study what I have at the moment and what else I must change or made new parts for it.

Its looks good and now up for the details

This is coming along beautifully with those classic apes. They look about as high as the ones on my Harley. Gotta love it! I'd love to know how you respoked those wheels. Keep up the good work.

Re: 1/9 Bobber WIP pic`s

I'd love to see how the spoked wheels are done as well.

I'm more of a sportsbike fan, but in my old age can see the attraction of a chopper as a diversion, would like to build a chopper soon.

This build is looking really good.

Re: 1/9 Bobber WIP pic`s

Just a litle further with the bobber.

I have finnished the Apehanger (steer)
Made a fendersupport from copperwire.
Replaced the sadlle backwards and added two springs under it from a ballpoint.

For the rest I have made some parts ready for painting.

This is so great. I love the small changes you are doing. Will be cool to see it all painted up. Guess there are a lot of schemes to choose from. Do you know if there are some kits like this avaliable in 1/12 scale?
