Unhappy Buick electrical woes

On a 2001 Buick LeSabre with lighted controls on the steering wheel (radio, temp., cruise control etc.), are the switches lit by bulb or other means? The temperature control switch does not light up on the steering wheel while all the others do. How do you remove the switch to repair the bulb if it has one? thanks

Re: Buick electrical woes

Methinks it is easier to get a new switch, seeing as how they used an led soldered inside it to light it up.

Steering wheel switches

Thanks Buickmaster. Now how do you remove the switches? Do they just pry outwards with a small screwdriver?

Re: Buick electrical woes

Maybe, maybe not. You might have to pull the steering wheel cover off entirely. Not sure, seeing as how I don't own an 01, but I really think that if you are careful, the switches sould come out without tearing apart the wheel. I'm sure of it. If it works, go for it.
