Question Angel Eyes kits

Just curious if anyone knew of any angel eyes conversion kits for an 01 E38. Also, which is more reliable and/or more visible, the LED or the fiber optic versions? Prices paid/ seen?
Thanks,

Angel Eyes Kits

I got a set of the LED rings from Omnitec Motorsports @ 1 year ago and found them to be much to dim. The quality of the rings at this time was also poor, but they have since improved them. The Gen II set from these guys includes the fiber cables and a halogen lamp which is far superior for visibility. I found a source from Germany to purchase the actual rings fromt eh E39 with fiber cables and made up the rest of the parts mayself. It looks pretty good IMHO.

Cost was @ $250.00 for rings and fibers, and @ 20.00 in misc parts locally.

check my web site to see what I have done.

Thumbs up Checked your site...

Hey man I checked out your description of the process and it doesn't look too bad to perform. Yours looks nice. Any problems with dimming or varying light levels? I have a guy thats getting me the specs on a set but I dont know the manuf. yet. By the way, I work with a John Carey here in KY, strange...

Thanks,

It is not that hard, so if you folow the instructions from various sources available. In addition to my web page, there is another member of the E38 forum at roadfly who has built up his web site to chronicle the angel eyes retrofit project he did. His user name is "DaveK" and his web site is very valuable reading if you plan to try this project. I don't know his web URL but check out the roadfly E38 discussion forums to find him and his web page is listed under his signature on his postings. Omnitec also has a pdf file of the installation of the angel eye kits they sell. This is a good source for the parts as well as the installation steps. I'll be glad to assist you in any way I can as well, just let me know.

Best regards,
John
