change oil light

Have a 2000 olds alero with 3.4 engine.Change oil light has come on.How do you reset the light.Or get the light to go off.Oil has been changed.

Remove fuse cover on left side of dash, push the red reset button once, change oil light should start flashing, push and hold the reset button and it should go out. (you may also get some chimes, I can't remember).

A note; this reset button does more than just reset the change oil light. It has other functions also.

another method is:

Turn key to on position and pump gas pedal three times. You'll hear a beeping noise and it'll turn off
