Cool need info on a tranny

Hay I have a 1998 chevy t10 that the 4x4 does not work not sure where to start looking for the problem.. i know its not the switch in the dash.

Welcome on your first post on AF.
We need to know what all it is doing or not doing?
S-10 with a NV233 right?
Check fuse and wiring and front axle vacuum operation.
Is front axle locking in?
Any shift button lights on or flashing.
If a 233 transfer case you can pull codes with grounding pin 13 on diagnostic connector.
Also a lot of other post on here that may have some help or answers for you.
Go threw them and look around.
Also I think there is a how to post to.

when my 4x4 stopped working it was a little vacuum hose that ran from under the hood into the little ball looking thing that is attached under ur hood on the rear right side when looking under your hood. quick fix for me, its a long shot but worth a shot
