Lightbulb What I plan to do instead of the H22 with my F22!

To end all further discusions about me building my car and it being equal to or faster than the H22 and cheaper, I am going to tell you what my plans are for the next year... First off I had to make a deal with my wife to buy her a car before I took her car over and destroyed it... So now that she is in a new Lancer the accord is all mine... So hear goes!!!

The day we brought the Lancer home I gutted the car to the bare metal on the inside.... Since then I have been cutting eccess metal that is not needed in a race car for comfort.... you would have to see it to believe it.. I already have MSD ignition 6A and the Blaster 3 coil, HKS air filter, and no cat or resiginator, which I am going to replace with a 2.5" mandrel bent pipe from the future DC sports ceramic header to a straight threw design muffler.... I have also it looks like crap but it does what its supposed to do.. i pulled the hood off and drilled four holes and now have it bolted down instead or hinged... so I can take it off to work under the hood..... I also have a working scoop right over the end of the intake... I also removed all the parts under the hood that I didn't need like the A/C and P/S, and put a shorter belt for the alternator..... I also stripped the inside of the trunk and have it bolted down also.... I know you can go ahead and laugh I will join you !!!
:silly2:

But now for the FUTURE!!!
Crower rods, J&E pistons bored .040 over and at least 10.5:1 compression, complete head work, rework the valvetrain, port the intake manifold, 7.5lbs flywheel, levelten shift kit, race motor mounts, Koni's "yellow", ground controls or lowering springs, two sets of wheels one for street and one for track "the lightest I can get",true slicks for the track and whatevers on sale in performance tires for the street, carbon fiber hood with the same scoop I have now, ABS plasctic molded race seats from summit, and of course the entire car will be painted flat black...... including the C/F hood...... the back side glasses will be black and the back glass will be tinted lexan..... I don't think I have forgotten anything, if I did I will list it later..... oh yeah I almost for got the improtant part... 2 NX kits for a total of around 150 to 175 fogged!!!

My goal is to have the fastest street leagal "drivable" F22 sohc in the world!!! I am looking for 12's.... You can call me crazy or what ever you want but this is my goal for me and my car.....

Cool

Cool idea...Hope it goes well without a hitch. Just imagine pulling up to some riced out Civic (with the wing, stickers, altezzas, fart cannon, etc.), the Civic thinks he'll win, you smoke him and take a picture of the expression on his face .

I am going to try and post some pics in the next week or so!! I need to get my buddy with a digital camera to take some pics of the horrible hood and the interiorso you can all see how crazy I really am!!! And this will make you feel better about your self people say you don't need to do that to your car when your doing what you want with your car, all you'll have to do is think of my car and any of your plans will seem very mild and not as bad as it sounds!!!! and if any body ever calls you crazy all you will have to do is show them so pics of my car!!! :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2: :silly2:

Thumbs up

sounds like some tight modifications, hope it goes well man, I definitly want to see pictures. I"m working on my 92 accord sedan, coming slowly, I don't have the expectations you have of yours, but I'm also past the civic stage, they are easy! especially the newer ones

Go For It!
I saw a guy at Lebanon that had an 89 hatch accord. Runnin 12.2-12.4@25lbs of boost. It was inspiring for us F-series owners. He had sone an engine rebuild/overbore, haltech fuel management, even the NOS interooler cooler, thicker headgasket, etc..., I can't wait to get mine started.
