electrical sadness
So i went to jump start my car today, it sat in the garage all weekend and for whatever reason the battery died. When i turned they key smoke came up from the wiring center behind the battery. I lost hazzards, head lamps, brake lights, shift interlock, tail lights, and i think the radio (i had it on the same circut). I have no blown fuses and cant see any burnt wires or melted relays. And the wiring diagrams in the haynes manual start at the fuse box. It's an 87 cherokee with the 4.0L. And suggestions would be great. :-/ *kicks jeep again*

Re: electrical sadness
There are several fusible links comming off the main terminal of the B+ relay. they look like a wire that is spliced onto the end of the real wire. My bet is that you fried one of those.

I have the sme prob. I installed a new battery post backwards after my truck went down when there was a loss of power while i was on the freeway. I jumped it and started and a few seconds turned off. ... Now it runs for 10-15minutes and gets hot and turns off. lossof power. then, when its cools down, it starts up. HELP ME!!!!!!!!

Re: electrical sadness
I cannot find the location of a B+ relay in my wiring diagrams.... Where is it at? And i do agree that it is probably a big fuseable link seeing that i lost almost everything interior. and exterior.
