Need quick advice on Intake Manifold Gasket job
My '99 4.3L Blazer is leaking coolant and oil from th intake manifold. What is a ballpark price to have this job done at a dealer or repair shop? I've been quoted $474.98 for gasket, labor, oil change, coolant flush and check. They are also going to replace my cap and rotor which are corroded.
Any input is appreciated.

Re: Need quick advice on Intake Manifold Gasket job
Thats a good price as its 5 hours labor and where I am at $90/hour plus all those parts... takes slow me 7-8 with clean up. Cap/rotor are $50 alone, gasket set $30, coolant $10, mess - priceless! If you got the time you can do it, if not....

Re: Need quick advice on Intake Manifold Gasket job
I did mine for a grand total of $40, and around 7 hours of my time. Just a word of advice though - buy a box of band aids.
