96 Sable wont start

My buddy has a 96 Sable and it will not start. Theres a clicking noise. Tried jumping it no luck...and all of a sudden his alarm went off and hes had the car for 2 years and never knew he had an alarm so we had to cut the wire to the horn hah...any clue if its the battery alternator or starter...thanks

Could be the starter is stuck or the engine is froze. I'd check that first and move from there.

On my other vehicle, the alarm went off and I did have the remote to turn it off. I can't start the vehicle without disarming the alarm with the remote control. I left the battery cable disconnected for a couple of hours and it reset the alarm and allowed me to start the vehicle.

Jumping an almost dead battery will not allow you to fully jump the vehicle in a few minutes. I would suggest to use a portable 120v input 12vold output type battery charter/starter and charge the battery that way to full charge and then try starting the vehicle.
