Stress release...only caused more stress

The 6hr drive from NY to NH was pretty stressful...so i decided to have a little fun. That resulted in even more stress since on the way home I was scared to do more than 55. The guy said he clocked us at 95+ but was being nice and gave us a warning...

Well normally he would have been 40 over the speed limit..Possible suspension of his license and or points not to mention the fines and fees he would have to pay. Fighting a ticket when you are away from your local area is the biggest pain in the ass as well. 20 over the speedo down in the city got me points and $600 in charges.

yeah NY really screws you over if you are doing any speeding but 95 is a your fucked moment a friend of mine had that happen to him and he was left with 1 or 2 points on his license and a pretty hefty fine on top of that

I see, i guess when I got clocked at 93 a few months ago, i recieved a $194 fine, and 2 points on my licence ( I think thats what it is, just now looking into our point system here).

Thanks. Actually Im from NY, I got pulled over in MA. I heard all you do is pay the fine...no points.

WOW thats crazy. If that would've happened I would probably sell my car since I barely make insurance now.

The way it works... you will get points in MA but they will not be carried on your record in NY. [I remember my friend saying that points in MA don't get carried anywhere else] You will only have to pay the fine. But if you happen to move to MA in the near future, you are going to see a lot of points on your record.

40 over in nh and they will arrest you on the spot, unless you have a really good reason for going that fast. Reckess operation, 6 points, plus the sr22 for your insurance once the suspension is up and has to be carried for 3 years, and usually jacks your insurance by at least $1000 a year.
