Seat Swap

I am planning on swapping out the 60/40 front bench seat in my 98 K3500 extended cab for a set of buckets and console and wanted to hear from anyone who has done this. It appears from looking underneath and measuring that will be a near perfect swap requiring 1 possible drill hole on the driver side and the passenger side seens to be a direct swap. will it be that easy??

Re: Seat Swap

That's about it. If I remember, you'll need an extra outside drivers side seat track for the inside passenger seat. I think the passenger inner 60/40 seat track is incorrect for the buckets. I haven't done this yet, but researched this a few months ago. You can use buckets from a pickup or suburban, but you may want to use seats from an extended cab pick-up if you need to flip the seat down. Consoles in pick-up's and suburbans are the same, and i believe 96 and up is the correct console for your truck, although I believe 88 and up will fit.
