Subaru Impreza WRX Type-R

Hi guys,

today I wanted to start a new project.

I found the Fujimi Subaru Impreza WRX sti Type-r

There was a small bodykit in the box so I added it to the body. It's a frontlip and skirts for the rearbumper.

I also wanted a nice GT-wing on the subbie and found a nice one from Aoshima. Also the mirrors were placed.

After this I searched for some nice wheels. I choosed the Fujimi Fabulous Profound 18''.

And I wanted an other colour than blue or red on a Subaru and I painted it Tamiya Chrome Yellow

I think I'll make some nice graphics on the body. I thought about the nice graphics from the F&F eclipse.

I also had a little accident Some glue felt on the frontbumper so I screwed up the bumper. This will be fixed with some putty and must be painted again.

Kris.

Re: Subaru Impreza WRX Type-R

Update:

Painted the brake discs:

I also painted the chassisdetails and the exhaust (no pics)

After that I painted the gt-wing.

Than I spent some time to search for nice graphics because the yellow colour screams for some striping or something. First I wanted to add some manufactor logo's in black but I had none So I searched further and found the following striping:

I also thought about painting the spokes of the wheels in black What do you think?

Kris.

Re: Subaru Impreza WRX Type-R

Best looking version of the impreza imo. I'm doing the fujimi WRX Limited myself right now.

I think the wheels would look good in black, kinda goes well with the yellow

keep up the great work!

That is soo clean man, I love the colors. The seats look awsome!

Usually I don't like wings or graphics like that, but man you made it work, and it looks killer!

Do you have more pictures of the exhaust? What size tubing is that? How did you cut it so cleanly?

Re: Subaru Impreza WRX Type-R

I was not liking the yellow, or the rims, but man, those graphics and painted spokes really pull it together nicely!!!

Re: Subaru Impreza WRX Type-R

Big update!

I screwed up the decals but I found someone wich gave me some new striping decals!

So yesterday I added them to the body.

I also added BMF to all the lights. Made the turnlights clear orange.

The frontbumper is completed after I added some black mesh and also added it on the fents in the hood.

After that I painted the windowtrims semigloss black.

The chassis is also completed. I lowered it as much as possible without cutting the wheelarches. I think it looks nice now. I also added a new N1 exhaust. This one is homemade by daddy

And I finished the interior. I kept it basic and added some red interiorflocks.

And today I clearcoated the body with Pearl Clear.

All missing parts are already painted and are waiting to be mounted on the body. But first I must polish the body within a few days.

Next update he'll be finished

Kris.

Looking good. Can't really tell it's Pearl Clear from the pics though....shame. Nicely sized exhaust too.
