Guys what kind of coolant do I need for my 95 Ranger...Check my coolant today and Im a lil low on coolant. But I dont know what kind to put in there. I called the local candian tire to ask them to check on their computer and i guess their computer is currently down so he doesnt know (dumbass) so I guess if you could tell me what kind of coolant to buy that would be great thanks!

if it is green get the green stuff if it is the orange organic stuff get that if you mix it will kill the rust inhibitors. it is cheaper to get the mix your own kind because you get twice the amount then the premix

Re: Coolant

Not mandatory but I usually use distilled water to dilute my anti-freeze. Of course we have "hard" tap water here in San Diego.

Re: Coolant

i agree not mandatory, but one hell of a good idea to use distilled water.

Re: Coolant

When I bought my 200 ranger this past summer, the collant was full but was a greyish/brown. So I installed a backflush kit and flushed the engine. Alos, I used prestone as well. It works great in all my cars/trucks.

Best Regards,
Stan
