Hello,2005 freestar ses,does anybody have an opinion on factory brake pads vs aftermarket brake pads?

The cheap aftermarket brake pads are junk,from AutoZone and Advanced.Wagner makes the best aftermarket brake pads.AutoZone and Advanced have lifetime warrenty brake pads and there is one problem:One use only and the lifetime warrenty is that.My brother went through that,ones from Advanced and would not cover them the lifetime warrenty because of the uneven wear.The parts person said it was a bad caliper or brakehose and it was not,the pads were worn out from use.

Don't buy the cheap pads or rotors, you'll be sorry you did. I learned the hard way on 2 cars. They will be loud, wear fast and the rotors will warp. These vans warp rotors really easily, so spend the extra cash and get good ones. Try these guys http://www.frozenrotors.com/

Man, those are some expensive rotors!
