Question Hmmmm.

I was wondering if there is any relationship at all on a 91 prelude between the alternator and power steering belts and the clutch and gears. the reason why i ask is because recently my alternator belt started fraying on one end, and now i hear a clank noise when i first start the car and when i move and shift at low speeds. anyone?
