At last I found an SRT-4 that was actually fast!

They say if you mess with the bull long enough you get the horns. Well thats exactly what happened to me a couple of nights ago, except it wassnt a bull......it was a Ram. (Dodge Logo).

Ive heard of there being a such thing as a "fast" SRT-4 before but Ive never seen one. I used to own one and was bewildered by the claims that magazines and online sites where making since mine was peppy but not really "fast".
When I first got the GTO I actually went after a few till i got board of the same ressults over and over again. even in my 3kgt i dusted them on the AutoX and Gotian makes quick work of them in his Jetta on the streets.

So I get out of work and start driving home when a blue SRT blows by me. It was frigging loud and I see its because he has a side monut exhaust no doubt straight pipped with the pipe sticking out from under the driver's side door.
He gets on the highway ahead of me so I follow since its my route home regardless. I see the dude swerve in and out of lanes cutting some slower cars so I follow suit and line up next to him. He didnt wait for me to honk or anything, just dropped gears and took off. I musta been doing 60 so I drop it and take off. we where at a stalemate for about a mile! i just couldnt reel him in. he shifted and didnt even drop back so im assuming he had one of those Mopar BOVs with the hold-boost feature. it was increddible, one fast little skittle for sure.

We got off the highway and I tried to get next to him to compliment him but he had his radio blasting and didnt even look my way so I never got to say a word. I then tried to line up at a light to see if he could hold me off from a dig but he just kept dipping in and out of lanes and I didnt want to cause an accident so i just held back and watched him go.

he was cool! he didnt give me the blinkers or anything. He was probably in a hurry to get home though and thats why he never bothered to line up at a light.

Look man, lets get one thing straight! I hate loud mouthed SRT-4 owners who think thier cars are God for whatever times they run. Same shit I got against Civic owners who hype up the whole Civic lifestyle and think thier cars are so badass because somewhere out there a civic runs 10's so that means all civic must be running 10's too!

BUT there are assholes everywhere. The fact is car guys are cool when they have slow cars and have to humble themselves where ever they go.
Having a slow car means you keep your head tucked low, you speak with respect towards others cause chances are they will run circles round you. trust me I know. I had to do it for years after totaling my SRT-4. I was stuck with a 3000GT that couldnt break past mid 15's and so i was humble and celebrated everyone else's victories since I couldnt produce any of my own to brag about. Look at the coolest most down to earth guys here on AF. the ones who never insult or talk shit, the ones the Mods never have to repremand. most dont even run 14's.
but give a car guy some power and they are instant assholes. why do we let that shit get to our heads? Mustang owners, SRT-4 owners, Camaro and GTO and specially Vette owners! biggest dick heads of all.
Im through hating on other cars. If they beat me and talk shit well so be it. I got my GTO so that I could enjoy it. Not so I could put on a show and be everyone's monkey bitch.

Fact is the Neon is no magic car. there are Geo Metro's, Caravans, Suzuki Samurais and all sort of funny goofy slow cars that have been tweeked to run insane numbers. so how come that dossent bother us yet a guy proud of his 12 second Neon pisses us off?
