How to bench bleed brake master cylinder?

I am putting on a new master cylinder but need to know how to bench bleed it first. Tuners has been down and I can't find much else on how to do it.

Thanks!

Google is your friend, it shouldn't be any different than any other car.

Re: How to bench bleed brake master cylinder?

All you do is fill the resevoir and crack open all the caliper bleeders and let it gravity bleed. This is how I was told to do it at least. We would squeeze the one soft line from the resevoir to the master cylinder to suck the fluid into the master cylinder to speed up the process a bit. Just don't let your resevoir go empty or you'll be workin a lot of fluid out of the lines again...

Re: How to bench bleed brake master cylinder?

I actually did it after i put it on the car. The reman came with 2 nylon hoses and 2 plastic fittings that go where the brake lines connect. I just hooked the MC to the reservoir and filled it up, connected the tubes and fittings and submerged them in brake fluid. Had a second person in the car pumping the brakes until all the bubbles came out. Just like you would at the caliper.

Thanks for the responses! Hopefully when I get the rest of the system bled I will actually have some pedal feel...
