ABS light- 95 Olds Cutlass

I just bought a 95 Olds Cutlass, and being a woman, I will freely admit I don't know anything about cars, and most of the guys I know are old school who only know stuff about cars from back in the day. On the left side of the control panel, there is a little round light lighting up that says ABS. Now, I know that doesn't mean abs as in working out. What does it mean?

Re: ABS light

Welcome to AF. It means the anti -lock brake system is inop, nice thing to have working on slippery roads, have it checked out.

Re: ABS light

Before you spend any money, check your brake oil level, sometimes when it is low abs will be on. Good luck

Re: ABS light

Welcome to AF, FYI low brake fluid will cause the brake warning lite to come on, not the abs unless it was empty.
