Angry 2005 GMC Envoy XUV Stalling

GMC Envoy XUV
about 38,000 miles
My problem at hand is that the car dies at low RPMs. It has been into the dealership now three times and they have no clue what is going on; today they installed a snap-shot box so that when it does die it will record. I have read that someone had the same problem but it has to do with gas but I always have a full tank or near full so I don't think that could be it.
Now I have a new noise and it's at high RPMs. It sounds like there is a crickett in my engine. When driving I can hear it...it is so loud a metal on metal sound. Can't be good. Any help would be great seeing how the dealership is trying but has not heard of this situation.

Re: 2005 GMC Envoy XUV Stalling

In regards to the low idle speed & stalling concern. I've seen two things fix that. A thorough throttle body cleaning, or a reflash of the PCM with the latest/greatest software. The noise could be the hood bump stops, or something flapping in the wind on the front end.
