318is to 325i

Hi..

I have '95 Coupe BMW 318is
I'm going to replace my 1.8 L engine with the 2.5 L engine,, I know that it has like 192 hp and my stock 1.8 L has about 140 hp..

My question is, How can I imporve the 2.5 L engine to get more HP ?

Thanks in advance...

Re: 318is to 325i

you can do the usual like turbocharge it or maybe put nitrous in it also you could put in a performance... after market exhaust might help and a cold air intake

Re: 318is to 325i

Movin on u-up (movin on up) to the 325i (to the 325i)

Well BMW's resond well to performance chips as well as intake, supercharging and the like. But power is useless if you have no way of using it. So supsention and shocks and strut bracing are all +1's in the performance handbook.

But you also have to remember that the transmissions might be different from the 1.8 to the 2.5. I know the tranny is different in the 325 from the 328. So youll need to check that out as well as anything else that might be different (which Im sure theres plenty).
