Re: I keep the diamond, crew the guy

Damn! What a cheap bitch! Fucking tipped him $.30 and when he took the time and effort to return easily tens of thousands of dollars worth shit she gave him $100? If she worked for someone and lost that, she would have lost her job not to mention had to pay it all back. If she couldnt find a job right away after that, she would have been in some serious money trouble and if she had a lot of bills, not a lot in the bank, and kids she really woulda been fucked. And all she could cough up for the dude was $100.30?

Actually, I wouldnt have kept them either. As tempting as that is, how are you going to get rid of 31 diamond rings? Even once you did, there would be a paper trail a 50 miles long for people to follow if they wanted to. I would imagine if cops found that you would be in a host of shit. Or what about if you got audited? "Ok, sir, where did this 50 grand come from? Got a money tree out back?"

Re: I keep the diamond, crew the guy

I would have kept them and sold them at a slow pace. Maybe one a month. Diamonds don't really lose value anyway. Then I would have spent the money right away, so it looked like I never had it. It would work...

Re: I keep the diamond, crew the guy

yeah, with that money, my Talon might get completed... lol

ok, the Talon, a house, a few other cars, swimming pool (big enough for the public, but all for me)... lol

J/k... I'm not that stingy... it would indeed be hard to give those back... especially seeing as the guy is a foreigner(no offense) and could easily slip back to his home country

I can't honestly say what I'd do in that situation... it'd have to happen to me (yeah right, I'm not lucky enough to find a wallet, much less 31 diamond rings, in a suitcase)

Re: I keep the diamond, crew the guy

Even if you sold one per month, that would still be an extra $10,000+ a year. If you got audited they would see the shit you bought, how much you made, and fuck out your ass hole.

How would they audit you if they never saw the money end up in an account somewhere and there was no official trail to you, like if you sold them on ebay or something? The chances of them dropping by your house and seeing a bunch of expensive shit is very, very slim. You could always claim them as gifts from friends and family or something on the small chance you did have to explain how you acquired them.

They could nail you then, because you are supposed to report winnings of over $600.

Re: I keep the diamond, crew the guy

I keep it because those rich ass bastard alway tip cheap, this is very similar story few week ago I heard, a homeless man found a pan with 30 or 40 thousand dollar, he return the money to the owner and got $30 reward . Then people talk about it on the radio, people feel so sorry for the homeless guy and give him some moneys, even some guy offer him a job because he honest.

BTW Anna Nicole Smith dies

Sorry, I would have returned them as well. All of them. Integrity is an important part of my life and who I am.

Dont think the sweetest DSM(s) in the world could help me feel better knowing what situation I would have left her in.

Re: I keep the diamond, crew the guy

I do feel that my greed would make me seriously lust and want to do bad things, but I feel that my good will would make me do what was right...

I don't really have much of a conscience (head injury took that), but I still know what's right and try to stick to it...

again, I've never been in that situation, and can't honestly say, but I would most likely give them back...
