Front Wheel Rattling Problem...
As some of you may know, I posted a while back about this issue. I thought it was fixed, but it's obviously not. =/
Anyway, the sound seems to be coming from the front passenger's side wheel. I can hear it any where from 1mph to about 35mph. It just sounds like something is really loose. I've replaced the following on the passenger's side: front axle, wheel bearing, and outer tie rod. I've also replaced the rotors and brakes on both sides. Before I replaced the outer tie rod you could jack the car up and wiggle the wheel around a bit by pushing on both sides, but after replacing the outer tie rod there is no movement when pushing on the wheel (hence why I was positive that that was the problem). There's not much more to replace in that area...does anyone know what might be causing this rattling noise? It seems to be getting worse and rattling more often. Your suggestions/comments would be appreciated. Thanks

Re: Front Wheel Rattling Problem...
How loud is it, because i had a rattling noise from the rear drivers side wheel come to find out it was only the hub cap. So try driving without it and see if it works.

Re: Front Wheel Rattling Problem...
Thanks for the response, kingkevin8.
It's pretty loud. I wish it was just a loose hubcap in my case too, but mine is a '94 SL2 with rims and I've made sure all the caps that cover the lug nuts are tightened. I should have mentioned that it seems not to rattle around as much if there is weight on the passengers side...you can still hear it pretty often though, This has got me stumped.

Thanks for the replies.
I don't think it's the CV boot -- that's fairly new. The brake caliper and pads are in great condition. However it could possibly be the ball joint...I'll check it out as soon as I get a chance and let y'all know what it looks like. Again, thanks for everyones input.

Re: Front Wheel Rattling Problem...
I had an issue fairly similar to that, it turned out to be that the motor mounts were shot.

Thanks for everyones input.
Between school and weather I haven't had the time to really look too much at the ball joint, but I did check out that line, sierrap615. It doesn't seem to be loose. The motor mounts could very well be the problem, GForce957. When I was checking the line sierrap615 pointed out, I pushed on the side of the front fender (rocking the car back and forth) and could hear a little rattling sound -- possibly the sound I've been hearing. However, I couldn't see anything loose. I'll check the motor mounts and have another look at those lines asap. I'll let y'all know how things look. Thanks.

Check the headlight assembly on that side.

Re: Front Wheel Rattling Problem...
Well I got some time to check it out today and the motor mounts looked good. No loose lines. It looks to be a worn strut on the passengers side. This would explain it not making as much noise when there is weight on that side of the car. I plan to replace it as soon as possible even though it's not effecting how the car drives -- it just sounds bad. Then if for some strange reason it's still making the noise, I'll let y'all know.
lol, I wish it were the headlight assembly because it would be a lot easier and quicker to fix. Thanks for all your help and suggestions; I appreciate it.
