Help....Won't start...

Need help. I went to start my 1997 Blazer on Saturday morning. The engine turned over and then just died. Tried to restart and will not even try to turn over. I tried to jump it off but nothing. The lights and everything seem to work fine. I do hear a single click coming from the drivers side when I try to start it. Have never had any problems before. Could this be the starter? I have never had a starter just go bad all at once before. Or could be it be something different like a seleniod or something? Please help. Thanks. Also battery just 2 yrs old and cables are good.

Welcome to AF on your first post.
What engine?
Is the click coming from fuse/relay box?
Does heater blower and head light and horn work good when you try to start it.
97 is a bad year on ign switches.
Check all power feeds and fuses and grounds.
All lights on dash light up right when key is turned on.
Any add on remote start or anti theft?
If all else fails make sure it is in park and find the starter solenoid start wire and jump 12 volts to it.

Do you have a Blazer or an Explorer? There's a big difference when it comes to Trouble Shooting and Problem Diagnosis. What engine do you have?
