I have no clue what kind of 4 you're going to spend on it. But if you're mechanically inclined, then you should be able to do it yourself.

Re: engine swap hlep plz

Someone told me that theres gonna be an alignment problem cause the diffrent trannies but i think they thought i was gonna put the manual trans opn the auto engine but im not i'm put the manual engine and tranny in the car that was an auto. Does that matter? will there be any issues i mean i know i will have to cut holes for the peddles but other than that?

Re: engine swap hlep plz

I forgot about that. You need to replace the tranny side mount bracket, or at least move it a little. The auto and manual cars have that mount in slightly different places, one's a little more forward than the other (I can't remember which). Hasport makes a mount that will fix this problem without having to cut and weld in a new bracket. And I don't recall having to cut any holes for pedals at all, but it's been like 6-7 years since I saw my friend do this conversion.

Re: engine swap hlep plz

Your other option is to cut the bracket and re-weld it in a different spot. Is the auto tranny toast or something? If it's not then just swap the engine in and wait til you have more $ to do the auto to manual conversion later on.

Re: engine swap hlep plz

correct. It's the mount bracket that's welded to the engine bay, where the tranny mount bolts into. Any '00 or older d-series block will directly bolt on to any '00 or older d-series tranny, regardless if it's an auto or manual tranny.

Re: engine swap hlep plz

Is there a reason that you are switching both the engine and the transmission? If all you need is the engine then swap, just the engine. The automatic will bolt up to the engine with the manual transmission. If you are interested in having a manual why not just use the frame from the donor car?

Re: engine swap hlep plz

My friend said it was like $50-55 shipped. He got it at slhondaparts.com, but I couldn't find it on there.
