My friend is buying a BEAUTIFUL 635Csi, couple questions

It's an amazing car, but I wanted to see what other owners thought about a couple things:

Ticking in motor. Sounds to me like lifter noise, but I'm not familiar with BMW's. Is this normal? It's not knocking at all, just a ticking noise. It sounds similar to the way VW's sound which is normal for them.

Idle seems to be a bit low, but it doesn't stall and runs well. Normal to have kind of a shaky idle right around 700rpms?

I think she's going to buy it! I'd love any advice anyone can give or what else to look out for... or just general advice!
