I recently bought a 91 ranger 2.3 dual plug 5-speed. It runs great but i would like to put a little more pep in its step. I have built many motors, but they were all v8 carburated models, so i need some advice on some small modifications to add some horsepower. Some say that a standard 2.3 is better than a dual plug model but i gotta work with what i got. any ideas?

Re: Build-a-2.3
i think there are some turbochargers for the 2.3. i also know there is a 2.3 that is turbocharged from the thunderbird that some have been put in the ranger by able mechanics.. just google it and see what you get. and head over to the http://www.rangerpowersports.com/for...isplay.php?f=8 section of rps and see what they say.
