Installing JVC Head unit

Hi im new to all of this car audio stuff, but ive been reading alot and grasp alot of it. My only problem or difficult thing understanding is how to hook up this head unit. Primarily the "Power on" or "remote on" for the amp. Heres a link to the page in the manual to show what all the wires mean.

http://www.fixya.com/support/p187738...-17158/page-27

But i read in the newbie sticky that putting the amp on the remote lead for the antenna will turn off the amp when playing a cd. What to do?

Thanks guys.

Re: Installing JVC Head unit

I think your alright this is what it said on the diagram."To the remote lead of other equipment or automatic antenna if any " Other equipment i think would stand for a amp. I always do a test on my complete wiring before i secure the deck into the dash. then you know for sure.

IT wont in all cases some HU's will only put power to the antenna wire when the radio is on. While some others will put power to it when the ACC is on. That is your remote wire for that HU.

Don't ever look at cars as just imports or domestics. Just because a car is made in a certain country doesn't mean that it is anything like another car from that country. An example of this is Mitsubishi reliability, just because they are Japanese doesn't mean that they are as reliable as a Honda or Toyota.
