changing tail lights

how do i change the tail lights on my 96 thunderbird? i popped the trunk open and took the whole thing off but could not figure out how to get to the bulb. thanks alot... sorry for such a dumb question

Are you talking about the panels with the bird emblem on the trunk lid? If so, those are not servicable.

Yes, you do! They aren't cheap so check your local salvage yards or ebay first.

if ur trying to change ur lightbulb there in the corners not the trunk lid unless they changed them after 90?

92-97 birds have an LED light in the large taillight, unlike 89-91s which were just reflectors.
